Dr Zakir Naik Exposed

Just the other day, a friend of mine, (name withheld) asked me, “Why don’t you write about Dr Zakir Naik?”

I replied, “Why do I need to?”

She was somewhat bewildered by my reply. I went on informing her that reputed Muslim scholars of the world consider  Zakir Naik as a fool. His speeches are full of wrong information.

I had challenged Naik for a debate on Islam and had send several emails. But Dr. Zakir did not turn up.

So I never thought of writing about him. As Oscar Wilde famously said, “There is only one thing worse than being talked about and that is NOT being talked about”. I followed the same for Zakir Naik.

But no I cannot disagree that Zakir Naik has wide numbers of followers. I fear that the latest bout of anti-Naik propaganda will further boost his popularity among Muslims across the country.  The way Muslim organizations have been lining up to support Naik, not because they support his ideology, but because they believe that they may be the next target, has ensured that he gets several million more supporters in the shortest possible time.

So it is important to expose Dr Zakir Naik.

Who is Dr Zakir Naik?

Dr Zakir Naik (MBBS), a non-practicing medical undergraduate, is an Islamic preacher and the founder and president of the Islamic Research Foundation (IRF). He is also the founder of the “comparative religion” Peace TV channel.

Zakir Naik was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He attended Kishinchand Chellaram College and studied medicine at Topiwala National Medical College & BYL Nair Charitable Hospital and later the University of Mumbai, where he obtained an MBBS degree.

[In his books “Is Non Vegetarian Food Permitted Or Prohibited For The Human Being? he says that ‘halal meat’ is better . To substantiate his point, what he wrote about the digestive system and human anatomy is absolutely silly and unscientific. Even a 7th grade student has better understanding of human digestive system than him. I now sincerely doubt if Zakir Bhai, MBBS is an MBBS in first place. Maybe he followed ways of Munna Bhai MBBS to get the degree.[1]

Dr Naik says that he does not believe in evolution theory because it is a theory and not a law. Please watch the video to have a hearty laugh][2]

He has published booklet versions of lectures on Islam and comparative religion. Although he has publicly disclaimed sectarianism in Islam, he is regarded by some as an exponent of the Salafi ideology, and by some, as a radical Islamic televangelist propagating Wahhabism.

On 13th July 2016, VHP leader Sadhvi Prachi announced a reward of Rs 50 lakh to anyone willing to behead Zakir Naik. This came a day after a Shia group styling itself the “Hussaini Tigers” placed a Rs 15 lakh bounty on his head.

Peace TV

Peace TV is a nonprofit satellite television network broadcasting globally 24/7 from Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The founder and president of Peace TV is Zakir Naik.

Peace TV was launched on Arabsat on satellite BADR-3 in October 2006.

It is also available free of charge from the LiveStation satellite television computer application.

The channel received £1.25 million in 2009 from the Islamic Research Foundation International, a registered charity owned by Zakir Naik.

In 2011 the UK broadcasting regulator Ofcom investigated the channel for allegations of broadcasting extremist messages. Its programmes have labelled Jews as enemies of Islam and that the 9/11 terrorist attacks were an inside job.

In 2012, Ofcom ruled that the channel broke broadcasting rules which states ‘offensive comments should be justified by the context’. It was ruled on the following statements which were broadcast on 8 March 2012 on the Dare to Ask programme:

What was said:

“One group of scholars, they say that if a Muslim, if he becomes a non-Muslim [inaudible] he should be put to death.

“There is another group of scholars who say that if a Muslim becomes a non-Muslim and propagates his new faith against Islam then he should be put to death.

“I tend to agree more with the second group of scholars, who say that a Muslim, if he becomes a non-Muslim and propagates his new faith against Islam, that is the time this penalty is applied.”

In response, Peace TV said they were just repeating the teachings of the Quran. The channel has been operating in India since 2006, but as of 2009 it failed to register with India’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, making it illegal. Zakir Naik denies owning the station, and claims it is run by a Dubai-based company. Peace TV was banned in India in 2012, because the government said it was broadcasting malicious anti-Indian content. Zakir Naik has denied any links to such claims and hopes that the ban would be lifted. [3]

A major controversy erupted after the Dhaka Terror Attack in July 2016 when the investigations revealed that a terrorist involved in the brutal killings followed Zakir Naik’s page on Facebook and was influenced by Naik’s speeches which seemed to be provocative in nature.

As of July 2016, broadcasting of the channel is banned in the United Kingdom,  Canada,  India and Bangladesh. In Bangladesh there has been a massive debate to stop airing this channel after the Dhaka Terror Attack. The channel has been finally banned by the Government of Bangladesh after a consultation with its internal security agencies on 10 July 2016.

After a probe into its funding, it was found that money raised by Zakir Naik’s UK-based NGO – Islamic Research Foundation International – for charity had been diverted to this controversial propaganda channel.[4]

Why many Muslims hate Zakir Nayak?

The number of sects in Islam are more than 72 and they are very different from each other. The Shia-Sunni dispute is clearly known. Among the most fanatic of these cults is the neo-Wahabi cult. This is supposed to be the producer of largest number of terrorists including Osama and Al Qaeda. Dr Zakir Naik belongs to this Wahabi cult.

Zakir Naik, a self proclaimed authority of comparative religions, in his site has put lots of articles on comparative religions under his name. But in reality, they are merely word to word copy of texts from Qadiyani/Ahmadiyya sources.

Qadiyanis/ Ahmadiyyas are considered Kafirs and are prosecuted by most Muslims for their radical beliefs.

Wahabis have been greatest enemies of Qadiyanis.

The content of the Qadiyani writings that Zakir Naik has swindled under his own name are blatantly against core beliefs of rest of the Muslims including Wahabis. For example, Zakir Naik tries to prove that in Vedas there are prophecies about Muhammad.

Now this belief gels with the Qadiyani belief that Vedas were also revelations. But Wahabis and other sects refuse to believe so. Hence even Zakir Naik writes in another article that he is not sure if Vedas are revelations. He conveniently forgets that he himself has proved that Vedas reveal Muhammad in another article!

(Perhaps because he forgot to read it before asking his men to copy from Qadiyani book and paste under his name in his site and books)

In summary, Zakir Bhai continues to use Qadiyani source to show his scholarly capabilities but refuses to accept Qadiyanis because he claims to be Wahabi and is funded by Wahabi militants.Or is he a Qadiyani spy in Wahabi disguise? Only Zakir Bhai knows the reality, but his acts suffice to invite hatred of Qadiyanis as well as other Muslim sects.

While Zakir Naik claims to be a conservative Muslim, he wears a non-Islamic dress which has per Islamic hadiths would lead one to be treated as a non-Muslim during Judgment Day. Many devout Muslims thus consider their dress very seriously and hate Dr Zakir Naik for setting wrong examples by wearing Kafir dress. [5][6]

Wahabis have destroyed many Sufi shrines and even house of Prophet Muhammad because they believe these to be signs of idol worship. They killed many Muslim men, women and children in their campaigns to destroy tombs and holy places. In the same footsteps, Zakir Naik severely condemns these practices to be anti-muslim and hence is hated by those who worship graves, Sufis and tombs.

Shias obviously have a reason to hate Zakir Bhai MBBS because of his staunch anti-Shia stance, being a Wahabi. But his admiration of Yazeed, considered to be culprit for massacre of Karbala has been a strong point of contention for other Muslims. So much is the hatred against Yazeed that many curse by name of Yazeed.

The list can go on and on. So much that now even Wahabis have started calling Zakir Bhai a Shaitan. Read this. [7]

They are even more upset by the fact that Zakir Naik does not even know how to read Arabic and merely imitates dialogues and manners of Ahmed Deedat, another preacher considered deviant by many scholars.[8]

Zakir Naik is a Fraud

Muhammad in World Scriptures by Maulana Abdul Haque Vidyarthi was written in 1936. Dr Zakir Naik has done NOTHING MORE THAN simply copying-pasting from this book, mostly word-to-word and cooked up his own ‘original’ research which he uses to claim that he is an expert in ‘Comparative Religion’. This is blatant plagiarization!

So all Dr Zakir Naik has done is copying from works of another person, memorizing those and claiming all the fame for himself! And he did this so blindly that he did not bother even see the background of the original writer or how he has back-stabbed his followers in the process.[9]

Maulana Adbul Haque Vidyarthi belonged to a cult which almost the entire Muslim world, and especially the sects which believe in ideology of Dr Zakir Naik considers as non-Muslim. They are in fact banned in Pakistan and many other countries. Ask any Muslim scholar, and he would start hurling abuses on them for disgracing Islam and Muhammad.

Yes, I am referring to the Ahmadiyya or Qadiyani cult. Maulana Abdul Haque Vidyarthi was a disciple of its founder, Mirza Ghulam Ahmed who is considered worse than a Kafir by all Muslims who are fan of Dr Zakir Naik.

Dr Zakir Naik is guilty of :

  • Copying directly, even word to word, from works of Maulana Abdul Haque Vidyarthi, an Ahmadiyya without even quoting his references. This is blatant plagiarism.
  • Falsely proclaimed that he is expert on comparative religion.

Zakir Bhai MBBS and Science: Poles apart

Dr Zakir Naik in this book, “THE QUR’AAN AND MODERN SCIENCE – COMPATIBLE OR INCOMPATIBLE?”has attempted to explore mysteries of astrophysics through verses of Quran to claim that Quran is a book of so-called ‘signs’ that foretold revelations of modern science 1400 years ago.

[Before the saffron brigade start laughing at Zakir Bhai, Hindu fanatics have long propagated their belief that many discoveries of modern science and technology are there in Vedas. Recently PM Narendra Modi claimed that cosmetic surgery and reproductive genetics were practiced thousands of years ago. As proof, Narendra Bhai (could not write his degree because even he is not sure about it yet) gave the examples of the warrior Karna from Mahabharata and of the elephant-headed Hindu god Ganesha. ] [10]

In this section, we will examine his arguments and evidences to ascertain if there is any truth to the claim or it is yet another propagandist stunt of Dr. Naik.

1. On page 3 he writes,

The Times of India’ Mumbai, in 1993 reported that ‘a saint’ by the name ‘Baba Pilot’ claimed to have stayed continuously submerged under water in a tank for three consecutive days and nights. However, when reporters wanted to examine the base of the tank of water where he claimed to have performed this ‘miraculous’ feat, he refused to let them do so. He argued by asking as to how one could examine the womb of a mother that gives birth to a child. The ‘Baba’ was hiding something. It was a gimmick simply to gain publicity. Surely, no modern man with even the slightest inkling towards rational thinking would accept such a ‘miracle’ “

Rationalist’s View: We absolutely agree with you Dr Zakir Naik. So, how about subjecting a Quranic miracle to a similar scrutiny?

See for examples the following Hadith that says Muhammad split the moon.

Sahih Bukhari Volume 5, Book 58, Number 208
Narrated Anas bin Malik:

The people of Mecca asked Allah’s Apostle to show them a miracle. So he showed them the moon split in two halves between which they saw the Hiram’ mountain.
  [11] [12]

Also Sahih Bukhari Volume 4, Book 56, Number 830 ,831, 832

Or this one that claims he made water out of nothing.

Sahih Bukhari Volume 1, Book 4, Number 170
Narrated Anas bin Malik:

I saw Allah’s Apostle when the ‘Asr prayer was due and the people searched for water to perform ablution but they could not find it. Later on (a pot full of) water for ablution was brought to Allah’s Apostle . He put his hand in that pot and ordered the people to perform ablution from it. I saw the water springing out from underneath his fingers till all of them performed the ablution (it was one of the miracles of the Prophet).
[13]

Borrowing Dr. Naik’s words: No modern man with even the slightest inkling towards rational thinking would accept any of these ‘miracles‘!

The way Dr. Naik discards baba pilot staying under water for 3 days as irrational, we expect him to apply the same rationale in discarding Muhammad’s miracle of splitting the moon in two or making water out of nothing. So Dr. Naik, when you get to read this, we expect you to treat the Quran the same way you treat baba pilot.

Also Dr Naik, ask yourself: If staying submerged in water for 3 days was ‘baba pilots’ gimmick to gain publicity, then what should we call Muhammad’s claim of him splitting the moon in two? If a man can split moon into two parts from earth, what is the big deal if some other person remains submerged in water without oxygen? Which one is more preposterous of the two claims?

Needless to say, a rational person would discard all of these so-called ‘miracles’.

2. On page 6 of the book Zakir Naik writes,

ASTRONOMY
CREATION OF THE UNIVERSE: ‘THE BIG BANG’

The creation of the universe is explained by astrophysicists in a widely accepted phenomenon, popularly known as the ‘Big Bang’. It is supported by observational and experimental data gathered by astronomers and astrophysicists for decades. According to the ‘Big Bang’, the whole universe was initially one big mass (Primary Nebula). Then there was a ‘Big Bang’ (Secondary Separation) which resulted in the formation of Galaxies. These then divided to form stars, planets, the sun, the moon, etc. The origin of the universe was unique and the probability of it occurring by ‘chance’ is zero. The Qur’aan contains the following verse, regarding the origin of the universe: “Do not the Unbelievers see That the heavens and the earth Were joined together (as one Unit of Creation), before We clove them asunder?” [Al-Qur’aan 21:30]

Rationalist’s View:

Very poor evidence indeed! And that too factually incorrect!
Dr. Naik has let his imagination loose in correlating big bang with this verse (21:30) of the Quran. Let’s analyze this verse closely.

  • It starts with “do not the unbelievers SEE” – This can mean two things- a) that the phenomenon being talked about can be actually seen AND/OR b) that the phenomenon being talked about here is already KNOWN to the people who it is being addressed to (unbelievers in this case). Look at it any which way, it only proves that the phenomenon was already known (and possibly verifiable) to the addressees in advance. So there’s no new knowledge that is being revealed here. I don’t know why Dr. Naik chose such a self-defeating verse in the first place.
  • Then the verse says “that the heavens and earth were joined together, before We clove them asunder?” – This rustic imagination has nothing to do with the big bang. The earth was formed billions of years after the big bang!! And most importantly, earth was not parted from the universe, it is, was and will remain a part of the Universe!

3. Zakir Naik says in page 7:
CREATION OF GALAXIES
Scientists say that before the galaxies in the universe were formed, celestial matter was initially in the form of gaseous matter. In short, huge gaseous matter or clouds were present before the formation of the galaxies. To describe initial celestial matter, the word ‘smoke’ is more appropriate than gas. The following Qur’aanic verse refers to this state of the universe by the word dhukhan which means smoke.
Moreover, He Comprehended In His design the sky, And it had been (as) smoke: He said to it And to the earth: ‘Come ye together, Willingly or unwillingly.’ They said: ‘We do come (Together), in willing obedience.’” [Al-Qur’aan 41:11]

Rationalist’s View:

How unscientific of a book which has just one word for sky, heaven, galaxy, universe! That which is heaven for Pickthall, is sky for Yusuf Ali, is Galaxy(!!!!!) for Dr. Naik. And mind you, in one of these Dr. Naiks ‘universes’ (or galaxies?) the author of Quran promises rivers of honey and milk and wine and what not. I hope NASA find’s one such heaven..oops galaxy ..oops Universe!
Just for fun, let’s assume that Dr. Naik is a bigger scholar of Arabic than any of the most reputed ones (like Yusuf Ali, Pickthaal, Hilali, Shakir etc.) and we use ‘Galaxy’ instead of ‘sky’ in the above verse. Even then, the author of the Quran fails miserably.. here’s how:

  1. The verse starts with “Moreover” ..Implying that before the creation of the galaxies, Allah did something else.
  2. We can find what precedes the creation of ‘galaxies’ by reading the preceding verse, of which, 41:11 is an obvious successor – “Quran Verse 41:10
He set on the (earth), mountains standing firm, high above it, and bestowed blessings on the earth, and measure therein all things to give them nourishment in due proportion, in four Days, in accordance with (the needs of) those who seek (Sustenance).

So what do we have from this verse: The Earth is formed before the formation of galaxies! As if earth is not part of a galaxy!!
  3. Now look the verse 41:11 by itself.. It says the ‘Galaxy’ was a smoke, as if the earth was not! Very Very unscientific!
  4. Read further into the verse “he said to it and the earth: ‘come ye together“.. IS THIS HOW THE GALAXY WAS FORMED? BY coming together of Earth and the rest of the Galaxy? What kind of a joke is this!!! Earth is, was a part of this galaxy… earth was formed with the same “SMOKE” of which the galaxy was formed.

We find that despite the innovative translation of the Quran by Dr. Naik, it still goes against established scientific facts. We are surprised and disheartened that such absurd unscientific arguments find many buyers in the Islamic world.

4. Zakir Naik, on the same page writes:
Again, this fact is a corollary to the ‘Big Bang’ and was not known to the Arabs during the time of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). What then, could have been the source of this knowledge?

Rationalist’s View:

Dr. Naik .. The source of Quran’s ‘knowledge’ (?) is Greek, Babylonian, Jewish and Christian mythology of its time which it faithfully reproduces.

The belief that life came from water predates Islam. The ancient Greeks believed that life came from water. For example, in Metaphysics, Aristotle records that Thales (62? BCE – 546 BCE) believed ‘that it [the nature of things] is water’ and Anaximander (611 BCE – 547 BCE) stated that life came from the sea.

There are a number of different themes in primitive creation mythologies. The idea that the Heavens and Earth was once a “single block” that was “broken in two” was one of them and was commonly know in the Middle East by the 7th century . The Egyptians, for example, believed that the god of the heavens and the Earth goddess were once one and that another god “broke” them apart.

“According to an Egyptian legend, Geb [the earth god] married his sister Nut, the sky goddess, without the permission of the powerful Sun god Re. Re was so angry at Nut and Geb that he forced their father Shu, the god of air, to separate them. That is why the Earth is divided from the sky.”

Add to that your unscientific translation of the same word in any which way that suits you. And despite all this hanky panky, your argument still bites the dust.

One interesting thing with the above passages from the Qur’an is that there are clear contradictions to other passages in the Qur’an. For example:

Behold! thy Lord said to the angels: “I am about to create man, from sounding clay from mud moulded into shape;    (Qur’an 15:28)

Behold! We said to the angels: “Bow down unto Adam”: They bowed down except Iblis: He said, “Shall I bow down to one whom Thou didst create from clay?”  (Qur’an 17:61)

Zakir Naik says (page 8-9) :
THE SPHERICAL SHAPE OF THE EARTH
In early times, people believed that the earth is flat. For centuries, men were afraid to venture out too far, lest they should fall off the edge. Sir Francis Drake was the first person who proved that the earth is spherical when he sailed around it in 1597. Consider the following Qur’aanic verse regarding the alternation of day and night: “Seest thou not that Allah merges Night into Day And He merges Day into Night?” [Al-Qur’aan 31:29]. Merging here means that the night slowly and gradually changes to day and vice versa. This phenomenon can only take place if the earth is spherical. If the earth was flat, there would have been a sudden change from night to day and from day to night.
The following verse also alludes to the spherical shape of the earth: “He created the heavens And the earth In true (proportions): He makes the Night Overlap the Day, and the Day Overlap the Night.” [Al-Qur’aan 39:5] The Arabic word used here is Kawwara meaning ‘to overlap’ or ‘to coil’- the way a turban is wound around the head. The overlapping or coiling of the day and night can only take place if the earth is spherical.

Rationalist’s View:

  1. The underlined claim is false. A flat-disc earth with sun moving in a canopy above it will also result in gradual change of night and day. Thus, using this as an argument in support of a spherical earth is void.
  2. By the way , Let’s look at the complete verse (31:29) “Seest thou not that Allah merges Night into Day and he merges Day into Night; that He has subjected the sun, and the moon (to his Law), each running its course for a term appointed; and that Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do?” [verse 39:5 repeats the same claim]This verse when looked at in its entirety exposes the naïve understanding of the author of the Quran. The author believes that night merges into day and day merges into night because sun and moon follow their courses around the earth at appointed intervals. It’s a scientific blunder that assumes a geocentric world (as the Greeks used to believe)
  3. Also, the verse in its entirety is talking about how Allah makes night and day using sun and moon. It nowhere talks about the shape of the earth…or for that matter it does not talk about the earth at all! It talks about the courses of the sun and moon (not of earth).
  4. Gradual change of day into night and vice versa is a PLAIN OBSERVATION for anybody. It does not require any rocket science to be appreciated. Coupling this observation with the fact that Quran talks of spherical earth is as foolish as claiming that Quran talks about nuclear fusion because it mentions somewhere that the sun shines! Rather than fulfilling his promise of an objective analysis, we find that Dr. Naik has surrendered to his wild imagination to hunt for science in the Quran.

There are several contradictions in Qur’an. Qur’an states that earth is flat. Though people like Zakir Naik ateempt to prove otherwise.

“Yes”,  Quran does indeed promote a flat-earth view. There are many verses such as the following …

15:19 And the earth We have spread out (like a carpet); set thereon mountains firm and immovable; and produced therein all kinds of things in due balance.

20:53 He Who has, made for you the earth like a carpet spread out; has enabled you to go about therein by roads (and channels); and has sent down water from the sky.” With it have We produced diverse pairs of plants each separate from the others.

43:10 (Yea, the same that) has made for you the earth (like a carpet) spread out, and has made for you roads (and channels) therein, in order that ye may find guidance (on the way);

50:7 And the earth- We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and produced therein every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs)

The above is only a sample, there are lots more similar references.

Yes we do understand that all this is more than enough to debunk Dr. Naik’s entire booklet. Kindly let us know any other ‘scientific miracle‘ you are finding difficult to refute. We’ll respond in the comments section.

It is not hard to see the tales of religious books (any religion for that matter) are nonsense. These are fairy tales that even children today would laugh at.

As it has been proven time and again, Quran is wrong in almost all its assertions. One error would have been enough to prove Muhammad was not a messenger of God but a liar. We have shown that there are hundreds of errors in the Quran.

The same thing holds good for other religious books as well, let it be Vedas or Holy Bible. Yet religious fanatics desperately keep looking for “miracles” to fool themselves and find validation for their  belief.

Zakir Naik’s views:  Is he harmful?

Is Zakir Naiks harmful for the society?

Dhaka Terror Attack in July 2016  investigations revealed that a terrorist involved, followed Zakir Naik’s page on Facebook and was influenced by Naik’s speeches.

In this section let us focus on Zakir Naik.

Zakir Naik would never ever condemn Osama Bin Laden. He would simply say he has not met him so he doesn’t know if he is terrorist or not!

Now why is meeting necessary to know about Osama? ( Are they supposed to get into some secretive/private acts to know each other better?)

How many people on whom Terrorist Naik comments freely has he actually met? He says Hitler killed largest number of people in history. While this is a wrong fact and west/central Asian invaders of India (from Qasim to Khilji to Tughlaqs to Babur to Akbar to Aurengzeb to Muslim League etc) have each killed and raped and sodomized a larger number of innocents, has Zakir actually met Hitler to comment on his terrorism? Has Zakir met those people to comment on them? If not then why differentiate between a Osama and Hitler? If you are quick to claim Hitler as a terrorist based on media reports, why are you reluctant in adopting same standards for Osama?

Reasons are obvious – the money that funds Osama and money that funds Zakir Naik have allegedly the same sources.

Zakir Naik states that Muslim women should always wear Hijab and Burqa and cover their entire body always. Medical researchers are worried that such unreasonable practices cause dreaded diseases due to lack of Vitamin D.

He further states that Muslim women should not work in offices because they may have chance to be alone with men even for a second. The only men that a woman is allowed to be alone with are her husband, very close relatives and those who have suckled her. Taking this crazy dogma of Zakir Naik further, the Head of Hadith Department of the most reputed university of Islam in world recently issued a fatwa that Muslim women should allow their male colleagues to suckle them five times. This will allow them to work with these men, even when alone!

Zakir Naik debars women from being any doctor except gynecologists because that is haram as per his version of Islam. Women should not take part in sports as well!

He further defends polygamy. He justifies the belief that women are less intelligent than men and hence evidence of two women equal that of one man! He thus also justifies that women cannot inherit equal to their male counterparts!

No wonder, he would agree to dogma that to prove a rape, a woman should bring ample number of witnesses who have witnessed actual penetration!

Zakir Naik has unusually very clear views on status of non-Muslims in Muslim countries. He says:

Non-Muslims should be prohibited from propagating their religion in Muslim countries because this is against Shariat and Quran

He however vehemently defends that Muslims should be allowed to freely propagate Islam in non-Muslim countries. His logic is two-fold: a. Islam is the only religious scripture on earth to claim that it is the best and only book of Allah. Since other books are not so ‘shamelessly’ self-glorifying, it is their loss! So as per Islam, muslim countries cannot entertain non-Muslim ideologies. But since other countries do not have such scriptures, they should allow Islam!. Logic b. Countries like India are secular countries and hence they cannot prohibit propagation of Islam. He also states that Islamic law is better than secularism!  [16]

He goes further and says that had non-Muslims been so sure about their religions, they would have already prohibited propagation of other religions in their countries!!

Can there be a greater height of fanaticism? If you think NO, you are wrong! Simply read on.

Zakir clearly supports that muslims who leave Islam or turn apostate should be murdered in Islamic country. His logic is hilariously fanatic:

Shariat and Islamic law are the best laws.As per Shariat, a person who rejects Islam is a traitor. In many countries, traitors who give secrets of nation to outsiders are punished to death for being traitor. By same logic Islam also punishes apostates with death sentence. Since non-Muslim countries are not following Shariat and are secular, they cannot give such punishments. So in these countries, one is free to become Muslims. But the opposite cannot happen in Muslim countries! [17] [18]

Religious fanatics like Zakir Naiks are greatest threats to humanity today. They act as breeders of terrorism to give birth of terrorists of tomorrow.

Religious fanatics have many names Zakir Naik, Mohan Bhagwat, Yogi Adityanath [14], Ram Vilas Vedanti [15], Assauddin Qwasi are just few such names. They are religious terrorists. The list can go on and on.

It is a matter of shame and foolishness that such psychopaths anti-socials are allowed to propagate their hatred in India in name of religion and nationalism.

Let us understand the politics

Peace TV founder and televangelist Dr Zakir Naik is being painted as the ‘fountainhead’ of terrorism by media organisations across the country. He is in this business for  last 25 years. Why has media woken to this ‘threat’ all of a sudden? Is it more to do with the forthcoming election in UP where some ideologies need a scapegoat to resort to ‘reverse’ polarization?

Reading this,  the self-proclaimed ‘nationalists’ would start firing their guns at me. “Don’t you care about our soldiers? Aren’t they dying as well?” “Wasn’t Burhan Wani an armed militant?” “Do  you sympathize with the Hizbul?” And then, this is followed by the usual accusation, “You are anti-national.”

Well, yes, I do care about dead soldiers. As much as I care about the  Kashmiri civilians who were killed by the soldiers. And yes, we want the killings to stop, of both, civilians and soldiers. And that’s why we aspire to find political solutions that don’t involve bloodshed. Because, honestly, the average soldier and the average cop on the street, are also pawns in the hands of a ruthless state, headed by treacherous politicians. They use this conflict to polarize and win elections.

In fact, it is this jingoistic government that doesn’t care about dead soldiers. Like Bush and Blair did not care about their soldiers who fought in Iraq. Modi and the BJP want dead soldiers. They want Kashmir to remain in turmoil. It suits their politics. It helps them beat the jingoistic drum in other states during elections. They’re already doing it in UP.

Yes, Burhan was an armed militant. And no, I don’t sympathize with Hizbul Mujahideen at all because I am against their terrorism. I think handing over guns to disenfranchised youngsters like Burhan is very immoral. But yes, it’s heartbreaking to see young people take to guns, when they feel there is no other solution. If the self-proclaimed ‘nationalists’ genuinely don’t want more dead soldiers then start listening to the lakhs that came out to protest Burhan’s killing. Almost all of them will have chilling stories of pain and humiliation to share. If you deny that, you are suffering from a disease called denial.

Can I say that those from Sanatan Sanstha who allegedly killed Dabholkar, Pansari, Kalburgi were not Hindus? Can I say that those who insisted that men should drop their pants so that they can check whether the person is circumcised or not before deciding to kill them in 2002 were not Hindus? Can I say that those who attacked Mohammad Akhlaq in Dadri and lynched him are not Hindus? Can I say that those who allegedly planned Samjhauta blast, Malegoan blast, Ajmer Sharif blasts are not Hindus? Can I say that those who have killed thousands and thousands of dalits over years, directly or indirectly, are not Hindus?

They are all Hindus. If anyone suggests that they were not Hindus then that’d be a denial to the fact that extremists exist among those who follow Hinduism. Such a denial does no good and in fact harms the fight against extremists. Similarly, everybody who is suggesting that ISIS is not Muslim, Terrorists have no religion, etc are suffering from that same disease called denial.

While ordinary Kashmiris are being blinded by pellet guns, I feel that many of my fellow Indians are also being blinded by the jingoistic rage being generated by people like Arnab Goswami. This rage helps no one. Neither the Kashmiris nor the soldiers.

Watch this video of self proclaimed authority of comparative religion and have a good laugh. This video is about some of the wrong information that Zakir Naik  gives due to ignorance. We agree with the commentator except in one point where he says Church was never against Science. Church just like any other religion was against science whenever there was a conflict between religious theories and scientific facts.
